This Argentina personal loan calculator models a standard amortising préstamo personal paid in monthly cuotas. Enter how much you want to borrow, the lender’s annual nominal rate (TNA) and the number of cuotas, and it returns your monthly payment, the total interest, and a full repayment schedule.
How it works
Each cuota is a fixed amount under the standard annuity formula:
M = P · r (1 + r)ⁿ / ((1 + r)ⁿ − 1)
where P is the loan principal, r is the monthly rate (TNA ÷ 12 ÷ 100) and n is the number of cuotas. Early cuotas are mostly interest; later ones are mostly principal. The amortisation table below shows that interest-versus-principal split month by month.
Example
Borrow ARS 2,000,000 at 90% TNA over 18 cuotas. The monthly rate is 90 ÷ 12 = 7.5%. The formula gives a fixed cuota of roughly ARS 220,000, and because the nominal rate is high, total interest can approach or exceed the amount borrowed.
Notes
This models the nominal cost only. In a high-inflation economy the real cost is lower than the nominal interest suggests, because the pesos you repay later are worth less. Lenders also add IVA on interest, life insurance, and administration fees (reflected in the CFT, Costo Financiero Total) that this tool does not include — always check the CFT before signing.
