Baby Name Generator (Arabic)

Beautiful Arabic names with meanings

Ad placeholder (leaderboard)

Arabic names are often everyday words for virtues, light, and nature, which makes their meanings immediate and resonant. This tool pulls from a curated set of Arabic-origin names, each shown with a readable transliteration and its literal meaning, so you can explore options that carry intention.

How it works

Each name is stored with a gender tag, a common Latin transliteration, and its literal Arabic meaning. When you choose a gender and generate, the tool filters the list, shuffles the matches with an unbiased Fisher–Yates pass, and shows your requested count. Many Arabic names come in masculine and feminine pairs that differ by a final vowel — for example Amir (“prince”) and Amira (“princess”).

Tips and notes

  • Pick a transliteration spelling and use it consistently on documents; Muhammad, Mohammed, and Mohammad all represent the same name.
  • Names drawn from the attributes of God, such as Karim (“generous”) and Rahim (“merciful”), are traditionally given with the prefix Abd (“servant of”) in formal religious use.
  • Say the name with your family name aloud and check it travels well in the countries where your family lives.
