Estimate your Cleveland parking cost
Parking in Cleveland ranges from cheap outer-district lots to premium event-core garages near Progressive Field and Rocket Arena. This estimator uses median rates by neighborhood to compare paying daily against a monthly pass, and projects what you will spend over a year.
How it works
First the tool converts your weekly pattern into monthly parking days using the average month length:
days_per_month = (days_per_week ÷ 7) × 30.44
Each day costs the lesser of the garage daily maximum or your metered time (street_rate × hours). Event days add a premium on top:
payg_monthly = days_per_month × per_day_cost + event_days × event_mult × daily_max
pass_monthly = neighborhood monthly garage rate
The estimator then recommends whichever is cheaper and multiplies by 12 for an annual figure.
Example and tips
Parking 5 days a week, 8 hours a day downtown at a $1.50/hr meter caps at the $18 daily max, costing about 21.7 × 18 = $390 a month pay-as-you-go — far more than the $140 monthly pass, so the pass wins. Add a few event-rate days for games and the gap widens further. For occasional visits, paying daily is usually cheaper. All math runs in your browser.
