How is the total crafting cost calculated?

Each material line contributes quantity times per-unit value. The tool adds every line to get the cost of a single craft, then multiplies by the number of crafts you want for the batch total.

What value should I put for each material?

Use whatever common currency you want to price everything in — often Glimmer, or a Glimmer-equivalent for resources like ascendant shards. As long as all values share the same unit, the totals are meaningful and comparable.

Can I include enhancement and shaping costs?

Yes. Add a line for each cost: the shaped frame, enhancement cores, ascendant alloys, and Glimmer. The tool does not care what a line represents — it just sums quantity times value across all of them.

Why plan crafting cost in advance?

Crafting multiple rolls of a weapon can drain resources you also need elsewhere. Seeing the batch total before you commit lets you check you have enough and decide whether to farm more materials first.

Does the tool handle different currencies at once?

It sums everything into one number, so mixing true currencies gives a meaningless total. Either price every line in one common unit, or run the tool once per currency type to keep each total clean.

How it works

perCraft   = Σ lineCost over all materials
batchCost  = perCraft × craftCount

Keep every line in the same unit — usually Glimmer or a Glimmer-equivalent — so the totals add up to a number you can act on.

Example and tips

A weapon needing 15,000 Glimmer, 3 enhancement cores valued at 2,000 each, and an ascendant alloy valued at 25,000 costs 46,000 per craft; making five rolls is 230,000 in your chosen unit. Price your rarest resources at what it actually costs you to farm them rather than zero, and you will see whether it is cheaper to craft or to chase the random drop instead.
