What are the real 5-star rates in Genshin Impact?

The base 5-star rate is 0.6 percent per pull. From pull 74 onward a soft-pity ramp adds about 6 percent per pull, reaching near certainty, and pull 90 is a hard pity that guarantees a 5-star. The consolidated rate including pity is about 1.6 percent.

How does the 50/50 work?

On a character event banner, your first 5-star has a 50 percent chance to be the featured character. If you lose that 50/50 you get a guaranteed featured character on your next 5-star. The tool factors this into the featured-character odds.

How is the soft-pity ramp modeled?

Each pull's 5-star chance is 0.6 percent up to pull 73, then increases by roughly 6 percentage points per pull from pull 74, capped at 100 percent by pull 90. The chance of at least one 5-star in N pulls multiplies the per-pull miss chances together.

What does guaranteed status change?

If your next 5-star is guaranteed featured, every 5-star you hit is the character you want, so the featured odds equal the any-5-star odds. Without guarantee, each 5-star is only 50 percent featured, lowering your featured odds.

Are these the official numbers?

How it works

Per-pull 5-star chance follows the real ramp, and the cumulative odds multiply the miss chances:

P(≥1 5★)    = 1 − Π over your N pulls of (1 − rate(currentPity + i))
P(featured) = guaranteed ? P(≥1 5★)
                         : combine 50/50 + guaranteed-next-5★ paths

Hard pity at pull 90 forces a 5-star, which the ramp reaches automatically.

Example and tips

Starting at pity 70 with 30 pulls and no guarantee, you are almost certain to hit a 5-star because the soft-pity ramp kicks in within a few pulls, but the featured odds are lower because of the 50/50 — losing it still leaves you guaranteed next time. Always check your pity before pulling so you know how close you are to soft pity.
