The Indonesian Date in Words tool turns any calendar date into fully spelled-out Bahasa Indonesia prose. It is useful for formal letters, certificates, legal documents, and contracts where the date must be written out, and it handles Indonesian month names, weekday names, and the spoken year correctly.
How it works
Indonesian dates follow day, then month name, then year order. The day is spelled as a cardinal (1 = satu, 4 = empat), the month uses its Indonesian name (Juni, Desember), and the year is read as a cardinal number using the ribu scale.
The tool also computes the weekday from the date using the calendar, producing the Indonesian day name:
- Minggu (Sunday)
- Senin (Monday)
- Selasa (Tuesday)
- Rabu (Wednesday)
- Kamis (Thursday)
- Jumat (Friday)
- Sabtu (Saturday)
Example
The date 2024-06-04 produces empat Juni dua ribu dua puluh empat, and the tool notes the weekday is Selasa. The full form reads hari Selasa, empat Juni dua ribu dua puluh empat.
Notes
- Leap-year and month-length validity is enforced, so invalid dates are rejected.
- The copy button grabs the prose form (empat Juni dua ribu dua puluh empat) for pasting into documents.
