The LinkedIn Video Length Checker takes a duration and tells you exactly which LinkedIn placements your video qualifies for. Each format has its own minimum and maximum length, and a video that is too long or too short is silently rejected at upload — this tool catches that before you waste an export.
How it works
You enter a duration in minutes and seconds (or total seconds), and the tool converts it to a single second value. It then compares that value against the official minimum and maximum for each LinkedIn placement — Feed (mobile/desktop), Video Ads, and LinkedIn Live — marking each as a fit or out of range. The conversion is simple arithmetic: total seconds = minutes x 60 + seconds.
Limits and tips
Key limits: feed video runs 3 seconds to 10 minutes from mobile or 15 minutes from desktop; video ads run 3 seconds to 30 minutes; LinkedIn Live can run up to 4 hours. Despite the generous ceilings, short wins — aim for 30 to 90 seconds for feed content and front-load your hook in the first 2 to 3 seconds, since most feed playback is muted and auto-plays only briefly. Add captions, because the majority of LinkedIn video is watched without sound.
