This estimator projects your parking spend in Louisville by neighborhood. It uses representative local rates — downtown monthly garages near $80 and up, hourly street meters, and event-rate multipliers near venues — to turn your parking habits into daily, monthly, and annual totals.
How it works
For a monthly pass, the daily and annual figures are derived from the pass price; for hourly parking, cost scales with hours and an event multiplier:
monthly (pass) = pass price
daily (pass) = pass price ÷ work days
hourly cost/day = hours × street rate × event multiplier
monthly (hourly) = hourly cost/day × parking days
annual = monthly × 12
The neighborhood selector loads typical garage and street rates so you can compare a monthly pass against pay-as-you-go for your routine.
Example and notes
A downtown monthly pass at $120 over 22 workdays is about $5.45/day and $1,440 a year. Paying hourly at $1.50 for 9 hours a day is $13.50/day, or roughly $297/month — more than the pass for a regular commuter. On event days a 3x multiplier would push that single day to $40.50. Rates exclude taxes and validation; adjust inputs to match your specific garage or meter.
