Privacy policy

Gera Tools is operated by Gera Systems Ltd, a UK-based independent software company, which is the data controller responsible for this site. This policy explains what we do — and mostly don't do — with your data.

Gera Tools is private by design. Every tool on this site runs entirely inside your web browser. Your files, text and data are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to any server.

What we don't do

• We don't upload, receive, or store the content you process in a tool.
• We don't require accounts or sign-ups to use any tool.
• We don't sell or share personal data. The only personal data we ever hold is an email address you have explicitly chosen to give us (see "Newsletter" below).

Analytics

To understand which tools are useful, we use privacy-respecting analytics that record aggregate signals only — page views, which tool was opened (its name only), the referring site, and an approximate country:

• Cloudflare Web Analytics — cookieless, aggregate page-view analytics.
• PostHog — product analytics configured in cookieless, memory-only mode: no cookies are set, nothing persists between visits, and session recording is disabled.

Neither service has access to the content you process in a tool, because that content stays on your device and is never uploaded.

Advertising

To keep the tools free, pages may show ads served by third-party advertising partners. Where required (for example in the EEA and UK), you will be asked for consent before any advertising cookies are set, and you can change your choice at any time.

Google AdSense. Where ads are served by Google, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, and learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Ezoic. This website may use the services of Ezoic Inc. ("Ezoic") to manage third-party, interest-based advertising. Ezoic may employ a variety of technologies, including tools to serve content and display advertisements, which may use first- and third-party cookies stored on your browser. In all cases, ad requests are page-level only — they never include the content you process inside a tool.

Newsletter (optional)

Some tool pages offer an optional "one useful tool a week" email subscription. If you choose to subscribe, we collect your email address and the name of the tool page you subscribed from — nothing else. Subscription is double opt-in (we only email you after you click a confirmation link), the consent box is never pre-ticked, every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and we never sell or share the list. To be removed entirely, use the unsubscribe link or contact us and we will delete your address.

Your rights & contact

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or erase personal data we hold about you. In practice, unless you have subscribed to the newsletter, we hold none — the tools run on your device and our analytics are aggregate.
