The Push Notification Copy Builder writes the tiny, high-stakes title and body strings that decide whether a notification gets tapped or swiped away. Push copy lives under hard character limits and competes with every other app on the lock screen, so it has to be specific, benefit-led, and short. This tool generates several variants per goal and shows live character counts so nothing gets truncated.
How it works
Choose one of four goals — re-engagement, feature announcement, offer, or cart abandonment — and the builder loads title and body templates proven for that intent. You add your product name and a concrete detail (the feature, the offer, the abandoned item), and each template fills in to produce a finished variant. A live counter measures the title against a safe ~40-character limit and the body against ~110 characters, flagging anything that risks truncation on the lock screen.
Tips and example
- Be concrete. “Your cart’s waiting” is weaker than “Your size is back in stock — finish checkout”. Specificity is the single biggest lever on open rate.
- Front-load the hook. Because collapsed and lock-screen states truncate text, put the most compelling word in the first few characters of the title.
- Send with intent. Tie each push to a real event. Frequency fatigue is the top driver of opt-outs and uninstalls.
Example cart-abandonment variant: title Still thinking it over? body Your Acme Pro is reserved for 24 hours — tap to complete checkout.
