Tech events live or die by a memorable name — ReactConf, DevSummit, CloudNext. This free generator assembles technology conference and summit names following common industry patterns, across developer, security, and startup themes. It is useful for event organisers brainstorming branding, fiction writers populating a near-future setting, and anyone who needs a credible event name fast.
How it works
Tech events typically pair a short, brandable root with an event-type suffix, sometimes plus a year. This tool mirrors those patterns:
- Draw a root from the chosen theme — a tech term (React, Cloud, Quantum), a coined prefix (Dev, Net, Infra), or a security/startup word.
- Attach an event-type word — Conf, Con, Summit, Forum, Days, Next, or World.
- Optionally append a year to mimic recurring annual events.
Selection is random across finite banks, so each press of Generate reshuffles every slot.
Tips and notes
- Suffixes shape the tone: “Conf” and “Con” read grassroots and developer-led; “Summit” and “Forum” read corporate and executive.
- A trailing year (DevSummit 2031) signals an established, recurring event.
- For fiction, mixing a futuristic root (Neural, Quantum, Synth) with a familiar suffix grounds a sci-fi setting.
- Everything runs locally with no API call, so reroll as many times as you like — then verify the domain and trademark before any real use.
