Meditation Focus Prompt Generator

Guided focus points, breathing patterns, and short mantras

A focused mind needs something to rest on. This generator offers three kinds of support for a meditation session: a concrete focus point to anchor attention, a structured breathing pattern with real timings you can follow breath by breath, or a short mantra to repeat silently. Each draws from established mindfulness techniques rather than vague advice, so a single tap gives you something you can actually practise.

How it works

The tool holds three small libraries. Focus points name a specific anchor — the breath at the nostrils, the weight of the body, a single sound. Breathing patterns store named techniques with their exact phase timings; box breathing, for example, is encoded as inhale 4, hold 4, exhale 4, hold 4, and the tool prints those numbers so you can count along. Mantras are short repeatable phrases. When you Generate, the tool picks the type you asked for (or any of the three) and selects one entry at random in your browser.

Tips and examples

A breathing prompt might read: “4-7-8 breathing — inhale through the nose for 4 seconds, hold for 7, exhale slowly through the mouth for 8. Repeat 4 cycles.” Sit upright but relaxed, follow the count without forcing it, and when your mind wanders simply return to the anchor — wandering is normal and noticing it is the practice. Start with three to five minutes and lengthen sessions as the habit settles.
