What is the difference between fantasy and modern?

Fantasy mode uses medieval words such as Sellswords, Blades, and Free Company, with beast emblems like Lions and Drakes. Modern mode uses contemporary terms such as Solutions, Group, and Tactical, fitting a private military contractor.

Are these real companies?

No. Every name is randomly assembled from generic words for fiction and games. Any resemblance to a real company is coincidental, and the tool invents nothing about real organisations.

Can I use a name in my published work?

Yes. The output is ordinary vocabulary you can use freely in novels, games, and wargames. Check trademark availability before adopting a name as a real brand or product.

Does anything get uploaded?

How it works

Each name is assembled from slots drawn from a setting-specific word bank:

An optional ordinal or emblem — “The 7th”, “The Crimson”, “The Iron”.
An emblem noun — Lions, Drakes, Wolves, Ravens (fantasy) or a corporate-style word (modern).
A martial noun — Company, Brigade, Free Company, Battalion (fantasy) or Solutions, Group, Tactical (modern).
An optional epithet such as “of the Broken Oath”.
