Know exactly how long the grind will take
RuneScape 3 levelling rewards consistency, but the XP curve hides just how much work the higher levels demand. This calculator uses Jagex’s exact experience formula to tell you the XP remaining to your target, then converts it into training hours and real-world days based on your method and daily play time.
How it works
Total XP to reach a level follows the published Jagex curve:
xp(L) = floor( (1/4) * SUM_{n=1}^{L-1} floor( n + 300 * 2^(n/7) ) )
Level 1 is 0 XP, level 99 is 13,034,431 XP, and level 120 is about 104,273,167 XP. The tool computes the XP for both your current and target levels, subtracts to get the XP remaining, and divides by your chosen XP-per-hour rate to get total training hours. Dividing again by your hours per day gives the number of days.
Example and tips
Going from level 70 to 99 with a standard 250k XP/hour method needs roughly 12.7 million XP, or about 51 hours — around 17 days at 3 hours a day. Push to an efficient 500k XP/hour method and the same goal halves to about 25 hours. The single biggest lever is your XP-per-hour rate, so investing in better gear or a faster method usually beats simply playing longer. Re-run the tool whenever your rate improves to keep the forecast honest.
