Snapchat ads are vertical, full-screen, and unforgiving of off-spec creative — a wrong aspect ratio or an over-length headline gets your ad rejected in review. This reference puts every placement’s exact dimensions, file caps, length windows, and copy limits in one place, with a live headline checker so your copy passes the first time.
How it works
Each format carries Snapchat’s published creative specs. The tool displays them in a table and, where the format supports a headline, counts your pasted text against the limit.
full-screen creative = 1080 × 1920 px, 9:16, ≤ 1 GB
brand name limit = 25 characters
headline limit = 34 characters (n/a for Sponsored Filter)
sponsored filter = transparent PNG, ≤ 300 KB, clear centre
The headline counter turns red the moment your copy crosses the limit and tells you exactly how many characters to cut.
Notes and tips
Build all video and image creative at native 1080 by 1920 — upscaling from a smaller export looks soft on modern phone screens. For Sponsored Filters, design only the top and bottom of the frame and leave the centre fully transparent so the user’s own photo shows through; a filter that covers the middle gets rejected. Keep logos and key copy inside the safe zones, which you can verify with the Snapchat Safe Zone Guide.
