Telegram supports channels, stories, link previews, stickers, and ads, each with its own sizing quirks — and the platform documents them in scattered places. This cheatsheet pulls the practical, working dimensions into one filterable table.
How it works
Each Telegram surface either renders at a fixed aspect ratio (stories, stickers, profile photos) or caps the longest edge and downscales (in-feed photos). The tool lists, per surface, the recommended export size, aspect ratio, accepted formats, and a short note on the gotcha that bites creators most often. Type in the filter box to jump straight to the surface you are exporting for.
Tips and notes
Send photos as files (documents) when you need exact pixels and full quality — sending them as photos triggers Telegram’s recompression and resolution cap. Stickers must fit a 512×512 px box with one side exactly 512 px and a transparent background. For stories, keep faces and text inside the central safe zone so the top progress bar and bottom action chips do not cover them.
