How is gil-per-hour calculated for each method?

The tool divides the currency earned by the time in hours: earned divided by (minutes / 60). A run of 30,000 gil in 20 minutes is 30,000 / (20/60) = 90,000 gil per hour.

Why compare per-hour rates instead of per-run totals?

A method that earns more per run can still be worse if it takes much longer. Normalising to gil-per-hour puts every method on the same footing so you can see which is genuinely most efficient with your time.

How does it estimate time to my goal?

It takes the highest gil-per-hour method and divides your goal by that rate. A 1,000,000 gil goal at 100,000 gil per hour is about 10 hours of focused farming with the best method.

Should I include consumable or repair costs?

For a true net rate, enter the currency earned after subtracting consumables, repairs, and travel costs. Gross figures overstate efficiency, especially for methods that burn materials or food buffs.

Why does my real rate fall short of the estimate?

Estimates assume continuous optimal runs. Travel, market board listing time, queue waits, and rest break up real sessions, so use timed real runs rather than best-case bursts for dependable numbers.
