Genshin Impact character levels get dramatically more expensive as you climb. This calculator uses the game’s real per-level EXP table to total the experience between your current level and a target, then converts that into Hero’s Wit books and the Mora needed to spend them.
How it works
Each level has a fixed EXP cost. The remaining EXP is the sum of every level step minus the EXP you already hold:
remaining = Σ (exp cost of each level from current → target − 1) − currentExp
heroWit = ceil(remaining / 20000)
mora = remaining / 5 (books cost 1/5 of EXP in Mora)
Hero’s Wit grants 20,000 EXP, Adventurer’s Experience 5,000, and Wanderer’s Advice 1,000, so dividing by those values gives book counts.
Example and tips
Going from level 80 to 90 needs roughly 8.36 million character EXP — about 418 Hero’s Wit and 1.67 million Mora — which is why most players stop at 80 or 81 unless a character is a main carry. Always fill the bar to the cap before ascending so no EXP overflow is wasted.
