Telegram has several video surfaces, and each accepts a different range of durations. This checker takes the length of your clip and tells you instantly which formats it qualifies for, so you trim once instead of guessing.
How it works
You enter a duration; the tool converts it to total seconds and compares it against each Telegram format’s minimum and maximum. A clip passes a format only when its length sits inside that window. Where a format defines no hard maximum (regular video messages), the limiting factor is file size, not seconds, so the tool notes that instead of a time cutoff. The result is a simple pass/fail list with the exact boundary that applies.
Format limits and tips
Stories and round video notes both cap at 60 seconds, so anything longer must be trimmed or split. Regular video messages have no practical time limit — they are bounded by the 2 GB (4 GB Premium) file-size ceiling. Ad creatives are short by design; aim for 6 to 30 seconds and lead with your hook, because viewers in a busy feed decide within the first couple of seconds.
