A strong Old School RuneScape build is about putting each stat point where it adds the most value for how you actually play. This optimizer takes your combat style, playstyle, and point budget and returns the split that best serves your goal.
How it works
Each playstyle defines a weight profile across four stat groups — offence, accuracy, defence, and sustain. Your total points are divided in proportion to those weights, then rounded to whole points while preserving the total:
share(group) = total points × weight(group) / Σ weights
allocation = round(share), reconciled so Σ allocations = total points
The offence group is labelled with your primary stat — strength for melee, ranged, or magic — so the result reads directly as a build sheet.
Example and tips
With 200 points on a glass-cannon ranged build, the optimizer pushes the bulk into ranged offence and accuracy and leaves only a thin defence and sustain cushion, maximising kill speed. The same 200 points on a tank profile front-loads defence and sustain so you can outlast long fights. If you are unsure, start balanced: it deals respectable damage while keeping you durable enough for almost all content, and you can re-spend toward glass cannon once you know a fight’s mechanics.
